Molecular characterization of Kinnow mutants

چکیده

The present experiment was conducted during 2016-18 at Division of Fruits and Horticultural Technology, ICARIARI, New Delhi. A total 40 Kinnow mutants 1 wild type were selected for molecular characterization diversity analyses. Thirty-four SSR markers screened polymorphism, which only 2 found informative. Twelve alleles detected among SSRs with an average 6 per locus the highest number (7) recorded in AMB2. indices SSR, viz. allele frequency, gene diversity, observed heterozygosity PIC 0.415, 0.672, 0.415 0.611 respectively. N-J tree constructed based on data clustered into major groups. Subsequently, clusters simplified clades distinguished gamma-irradiated EMS derived results reconfirmed through principal coordinate analysis (PCoA). First three axes PCoA contributed 80.88% cumulative variation mutants. variance (AMOVA) explained 42% populations, 48 10% within individuals investigation genetically characterized deciphered genetic them. Thus, variability generated induced mutagenesis could be used as valuable material improvement.

Molecular characterization and rescue of acatalasemic mutants of Drosophila melanogaster.

The enzyme catalase protects aerobic organisms from oxygen-free radical damage by converting hydrogen peroxide to molecular oxygen and water before it can decompose to form the highly reactive hydroxyl radical. Hydroxyl radicals are the most deleterious of the activated oxygen intermediates found in aerobic organisms. If formed, they can react with biological molecules in their proximity; the e...

Genetic characterization of fig tree mutants with molecular markers.

The fig (Ficus carica L.) is a fruit tree of great world importance and, therefore, the genetic improvement becomes an important field of research for better crops, being necessary to gather information on this species, mainly regarding its genetic variability so that appropriate propagation projects and management are made. The improvement programs of fig trees using conventional procedur...

Molecular Characterization of Two Point Mutants in the Chloroplast

Two point mutants of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, previously found by recombination and complementation analysis to map in the chloroplast atpB gene encoding the /? subunit of the CFl/CFo ATP synthase, are here shown to be missense alterations near the 5’ end of that gene. One mutant (ac-u-c-2-9) has a change at amino acid position 47 of the /? subunit from leucine (CTA) to arginine (CGA). In the...

Morphogenetic characterization of seeded and seedless varieties of Kinnow Mandarin (Citrus reticulata Blanco)

Kinnow (Citrus reticulata Blanco) mandarin is a superior fruit crop in Pakistan; however, it is characterized by high number of seeds which is disliked by consumers and the processing industry. The objective of this work was to document the morphological and genetic differences in selected seeded and seedless Kinnow strains from two different locations i.e., Citrus Research Institute Sargodha a...

Molecular Characterization of Aureobasidium Species in Iran

Background: Members of this genus Aureobasidium are ubiquitous microorganisms which can be isolated from wide ranges of substrates such as plant materials (phyllosphere, plant debris, bark, roots, fruits and wood), soil, dead wood, air, and as rare etiologic agent of pheohyphomycosis, keratomycosis, septicemia, peritoneal sepsis, and dermatological infections in human. Very little is known on t...
